This RIBA award winning property was once the site of a traditional post war home, which was refurbished and renovated to create an elegant contemporary living space.
As the building was located within a conservation area Mitzman architects were faced with challenging restrictions. To preserve the character of the area, the modern home was concealed behind a high garden wall.
Our Reclamation Yellow Stock handmade bricks were selected, which were a sympathetic match to the existing brick work. The bricks are manufactured to replicate traditional London Stock bricks which were chosen to be in keeping with the nearby listed properties.
The handmade bricks feature yellow shades, which are weathered and aged, providing a rustic and charming appearance.
