EastEnders

Project Scope: EastEnders set redeveloped

Project Industry: Commercial, New Build

The famous EastEnders set recreated entirely from bricks.

EastEnders original set was built in 1984 from steel frames, plywood and plaster brick panels and was only intended to be used for two years, however production carried on there for more than 35 years.

After the current set was deemed no longer fit for purpose, a functional brand new set was recreated entirely from bricks, which would allow for the show to be filmed in ultra high definition.

The BBC wanted to accurately replicate the look and feel of Albert Square, after reaching out to mainstream brick manufactures in the UK and Europe, our Original London Stock bricks were selected by the BBC as the best match.

We supplied 500,000 of our Original London Stock, Farmhouse Orange and Pre War Common handmade bricks. To ensure the bricks matched perfectly on site contractors aged and weathered the bricks, which made them look authentic.
