Drury Works | London

Project Scope: Flagship office refurbishment

Project Industry: Commercial, Extension/Renovation

Drury Works is a newly redeveloped office building in the heart of Covent Garden, providing a modern, sustainable Grade A workspace. Originally constructed in 1923, the flagship office has been carefully retrofitted and refurbished to meet contemporary standards while retaining its historic character.

As part of the redevelopment, a one-storey extension was added and an outdated external fire escape removed, transforming the building into a functional, modern, and environmentally friendly office.

Given the site’s heritage achieving an accurate brick match to satisfy planning requirements was essential. We worked closely with the architect to ensure a sympathetic match to the original brickwork.

We matched and supplied our 65mm Berkeley Yellow brick slips, with 20,000 slips, 1,500 corners, and 250 cut-and-bond angles all precision-cut at our Shropshire factory and delivered to site ready for installation. Manufactured to suit Ash & Lacy’s Mechslip system, the slips were a perfect match, blending seamlessly with the neighbouring buildings.
