This session explores how bricks are made and the natural variation in colour and texture that gives every project its own character. We will look at how brick bonds, mortar colours and finishing techniques can influence the overall appearance of a building, including how new bricks can be used to recreate the look and feel of reclaimed bricks.
The CPD also explores the future of bricks, from modern facade systems that offer greater design flexibility and faster installation to the role of modern methods of construction in today’s projects. We will also discuss how these solutions are helping to deliver safe, efficient and visually striking buildings while meeting the requirements of The Golden Thread and the latest building safety legislation.
