After purchasing a tired, run down 1930s property, the owners transformed it with a full renovation and extension.
The house was completely reconstructed, including moving the main entrance from the side to the front of the property, along with the addition of a single storey rear and side extension. The new layout creates a much better flow and a more functional living space throughout the home.
With the front and rear elevations fully rendered, the house needed depth and warmth. To achieve this, our Soft Red handmade bricks were used for the rear extension, introducing texture and contrast against the clean rendered finish. The owners were seeking a brick with character, something our handmade range naturally delivers through its subtle variations, tonal richness, and handmade finish.
The front elevation was further enhanced with soft green framed windows, while black framed glazing to the rear creates a more contemporary contrast overlooking the garden.
The finished extension features three striking arched Crittall-style doors opening onto a beautifully landscaped garden, creating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living.
